We all rely on book authors, film producers, and other notable presenters, such as journalists. I have written recently in another thread of my observations of
how thinned skinned these "expert" sources are predictably conducting themselves. They appreciate your purchase of their product but not enough not to act indifferent if you inform them they have mislead you, intentionally or not.

Please post descriptions of errors by LIVING sources (Bugliosi, for example, is beyond correcting, at this late date.) accompanied by evidence/facts supporting your
discovery and or opinion.

Oliver Stone has described his film, "JFK" as a docudrama....it employs literary license. Unless you have evidence to present countering a core premise presented in his film, please do not bog down this thread with challenges to story telling devices in that film, such as Mr. X or whatever character it was that actor Donald Sutherland portrayed in Stone's film.

If your interest in JFK Assassination related matters does not begin and end with what is true vs what is not, why even bother? Make your posts easier on the eyes by providing as close to primary supporting sources as possible. Let's send these content providers a message!

Mark Riebling, on page 126 of his great 1994 book Wedge: The Secret War Between the FBI and CIA, says the American Ambassador to the USSR when undercover CIA officer Edward Ellis Smith (aka "Popov's Mole") was "honeytrapped" in Moscow and recruited by the KGB (in late 1956) was Walter Bedell Smith (no relation), when in fact it was Charles Bohlen.

PS  Great idea for a thread, btw.

PPS  This ties in tangentially with the assassination in that some researchers believe Oswald was dispatched by JJA to the USSR in October of 1959 to help ferret out Popov's Mole, not realizing that the true mole (or co-recruiter of the true mole), EES was, afaik, already working as a scholar at the Hoover Institute in California.

Thanks Mike.

I also know what they are going to say, but with the roster of people this show has, forget it.

As Oliver said in the story for Variety, it's no exaggeration to say that it's the most distinguished collection of talent and knowledge ever assembled on the JFK case.  Hands down.

And its all geared around what the ARRB declassified, and what the public does not know about.

Goodbye Mr. Shenon.
