For at least several days the google search result "cache" view option is the only way to view pages. I tried that before trying archive.org. Check his newsgroup, maybe he retired from Marquette and the University wiped his webspace..... unlikely, I hope.

On his moderated newsgroup, McAdams posted Dec. 9th:

Quote
Marquette is admantly insisting that I have to accept a new computer
to replace the Windows 7 machine I've been happy with for all these
years.

So my website may be down for a while while it's installed.  There
should be no problem getting a web server working on the new machine.

A news server is a bit more questionable, but if I can't get that
working, the newsgroup will still be working, just not available on my
maching (mcadams.posc.mu.edu).

But it will be available for free on Google, and there are other
options here:

http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/news.htm

This option is especially good, at 10 euros per year.

http://news.individual.net/overview.php

But with some luck, I can get my news server back too.

The Google Groups link for the newsgroup that I use is: http://groups.google.ca/group/alt.assassination.jfk/topics?lnk=srg&hl=en

The website is still down today (I just checked). It is a vital source and largely impartial in terms of politics.

The newsgroup is a different matter. Basically a bunch of far-right-wing LNers preying on one old CT liberal (Marsh).

The link I have [and forgot about] is https://alt.assassination.jfk.narkive.com/
Which boiled down to the same thing :)
Microsoft Windows is incorrigible.

Dr. McAdams posted this about a week ago:  "Marquette is admantly insisting that I have to accept a new computer to replace the Windows 7 machine I've been happy with for all these years.
So my website may be down for a while while it's installed.  There should be no problem getting a web server working on the new machine. "

And he posted just the other day that he was in the hospital for several days and was released on the 11th.

Speaking of computer problems, my desktop computer won't show USB sticks or CDs and the last system update wouldn't recognize my old 2D program as an app (shows as "process" in Task Viewer).

Yesterday it failed to start for some reason and gave off six beeps, which seems to a video card issue. But it resolved itself. I had been trying to move ahead on some 3D models and address some issues, but if this computer or video card fails, that's the end of it. I don't have the funds to replace it.

(Sorry, this is addressed to Jerry Organ.)

You wrote about the McAdams website:

"The newsgroup is a different matter. Basically a bunch of far-right-wing LNers preying on one old CT liberal (Marsh)."

Question: Are all "Lone Nutters" Far Right-Wing as far as you're concerned, comrade?

Marsh would call you a Kennedy hating CIA asset.

Of course, he calls everyone who thinks Oswald killed JFK that so don't think you're special.

As to the newsgroup: sure, if you want to read conspiracy nonsense that goes unchallenged don't go there. The political discussions are admittedly awful; but the archives are excellent and every now and then - more then than now - there's a good thread.
