"Then I felt something hit me. It could have been concrete or something, but I thought at first I might have been hit."
He heard gunfire, was splattered with blood, then felt something hit hard enough to think he may have been struck by one of the rifle
shots he was hearing.
It is natural, when under fire, and you feel something touch you, your first thought is going to be, “Am I hit?”.
Not all wounds cause great pain. Some men have been wounded, did not realize it, and end up bleeding to death in a minute or two.
There is no evidence that Hargis actually was hit with great force. If he was hit be something that delivered great force, it was totally invisible in the Zapruder film. And the only thing that could hit him with great force and be invisible would be a high-speed bullet. But he was not wounded at all.
Just go ahead and google “I thought I was hit” to see how common it is to be under gunfire, and think you’ve been hit, but weren’t.
