To put this in a common context, consider that your odds of rolling double sixes with one roll of a pair of dice are 1/36, or 2.77%. Suppose you were offered the chance to win $5 million by rolling double sixes but on the condition that if you failed, your retirement account would be cut by 80%. Virtually no one would take that gamble, because the odds of winning would be extremely low. For ages 0-64, the odds of dying from COVID-19 are even lower than the odds of rolling double sixes.

You still haven't understood. It's not about the odds of dying for an individual that the lock downs are needed. It's to prevent that the virus spreads as quickly as it has been doing and limit the risk that non symptomatic people infect other vulnerable people.

The ignorance and selfishness you are displaying is one of the main reasons so many vulnerable people have already died.

COVID-19 was ranked as the leading cause of death in the U.S. this week, with 11,820, according to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. That's more than the number of Americans who died from ischemic heart disease (10,724), tracheal, bronchus and lung cancer (3,965), and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (3,766)

Richard tells us "masks don't work". Well, if Rudy wore a mask he wouldn't be in the hospital right now with COVID. Who knows how many people this lunatic infected.

The U.S. COVID-19 death rate has now dropped below 2%. As of this morning, it is 1.92% (281,000 deaths/14.7 million cases). This means the average survival rate is 98.08%.

Yet, Democratic governors have learned nothing and are once again reflexively resorting to one-size-fits-all lockdown measures. Democrats still refuse--just refuse--to base their response measures on the readily available data that prove that for most Americans, COVID-19 poses either an astronomically low risk, a very low risk, or a low risk, depending on your age group. But Democrats simply refuse to consider this crucial, profusely documented fact.

Since Gov. Gavin Panic Newsom is re-imposing lockdown measures, let's take a look at California's COVID-19 numbers from the state's department of health website:

ALL AGES
Cases: 1.31 million
Deaths: 19,800 deaths
Death rate: 1.51%

AGES 0-17
Cases: 147,807
Deaths: 2
Death rate: 0.0014% (110 times * lower* than the common flu's death rate of 0.15%-0.25%)
11.3% of state's cases
0.0001% of state's deaths

AGES 18-49
Cases: 780,365
Deaths: 1,411
Death rate: 1.11% (survival rate: 98.89%)
59.5% of state's cases
7.1% of state's deaths

AGES 50-64
Cases: 246,393
Deaths: 3,782
Death rate: 1.535% (survival rate: 98.465%)
18.8% of state's cases
19.1% of state's deaths

AGES 65-100
Cases: 135,981
Deaths: 14,612
Death rate: 10.75% (survival rate: 89.25%)
10.4% of state's cases
73.8% of state's deaths

Don't believe it? Here's the website:

BS:

Why do you insist on posting severe disinformation on COVID-19?

North Carolina has an all time high in hospitalizations. Over 1 million new cases were recorded in the last 5 days. States are running out of hospital beds. Record deaths are being recorded in every state. Yet, Michael T Griffith continues to post garbage claiming COVID-19 is "low risk". You are posting very dangerous disinformation.

"Low risk" Griffith? We basically have a 9/11 death total each day.

According to Michael T Griffith if you're 64 then you're immune to COVID, but soon as you hit 65 a couple of months later, then you're at "high risk". That's the bogus right wing propaganda and conspiracies he listens to. Absolutely ridiculous. He has no clue what he's talking about. COVID-19 is killing people of ALL ages including children and young adults, because this is a deadly virus.

Young people are at risk of severe Covid-19 illness: The CDC finds that coronavirus infections are now highest among young adults ages 20 to 29, who accounted for more than 20 percent of all confirmed cases from June to August

LOL.  So much happiness when someone you don't like is infected with a life threatening virus.  That must have made your day.  Imagine how happy you would have been if Trump died from the virus.  Very pathetic to be filled with so much hate.  And that's not what I said about masks.  Another falsehood. I said masks were not as effective as the dems have claimed.  If they were, then places like NY, California, and other states with mask mandates for months would not be seeing the number of new cases skyrocket.  Can you make that connection?  Even a person of limited intelligence should be able to follow that.

"Wearing face masks in public spaces reduces the spread of SARS-CoV-2.

What is added by this report?

The governor of Kansas issued an executive order requiring wearing masks in public spaces, effective July 3, 2020, which was subject to county authority to opt out. After July 3, COVID-19 incidence decreased in 24 counties with mask mandates but continued to increase in 81 counties without mask mandates.

What are the implications for public health practice?

Countywide mask mandates appear to have contributed to the mitigation of COVID-19 transmission in mandated counties. Community-level mitigation strategies emphasizing use of masks, physical distancing, staying at home when ill, and enhanced hygiene practices can help reduce the transmission of SARS-CoV-2."

Getting embarrassing Richard. No wonder you can’t explain Darwinism. What is the character trait called when someone is called out but refuses to address the comment?

Still haven’t replied about whether you cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze in a social setting either.

I can't follow this rambling post.  Here is the point again.  Many states have mandated mask wearing for months.  New cases in those states are skyrocketing.   That is just a fact.  Now pay attention and don't get distracted thinking about how a chicken lunch is the key to the JFK assassination, masks wearing may have some benefit in slowing the spread of the virus but it is not as effective as touted by the dems.  Again, not that they don't work at all but that they were politicized to give the impression that they are much more effective than the evidence is showing.  I can't dumb it down any further.

Who cares if it isn't as effective as claimed by the democrats? As long as it slows the spread of the virus, masks should be worn and anybody who argues against that is an idiot.
