Poor Old China Joe.  He will have control of the Senate.  There goes his excuse not to get anything done during his administration.  The radicals will be screaming for all manner of socialist programs and Establishment Joe will be sitting on hands waiting for his Wall St. paymasters to tell him what to do.  It should be fun.  I gave China Joe a year before the radicals invoke the 25th Amendment.  But now they will want to do so as quickly as possible to ensure they can act while they have the opportunity.  This couldn't set up any more perfectly for Trump in 2024.  Either China Joe caves to the radicals or he alienates them and gets nothing done.  Kantala "Fee-dom" Harris will get demolished by Trump.

“This couldn't set up any more perfectly for Trump in 2024.”

Yes, it could have been more perfectly set up for Trump. He could have demonstrated last night that candidates whom he supports and who support him to the hilt are winners. He failed to get that done. Too much focus on the “stolen” election.

What last night showed are that there are some Republicans, who voted for Perdue and Loeffler, and maybe voted for Trump in November, who did not vote for them in January. They don’t believe the election was stolen from Trump. They think the manual recount in Georgia matching the Dominion Voting Machines counts show the software was good. They think the Cobb county 150,000 signature checks in matching the signatures on file shows the mail-in ballots were also valid. They think Trump has been trying to steal the election, assisted by his toadies, like the two who lost the election last night. The same two who won the most votes just 9 weeks ago.

So, let’s forget about 2024 for the moment and concentrate on 2022. In 2022, Trump wants to “primary out” those Republican “traitors” like:
•   Senator John Thune of South Dakota
•   Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia
And I assume a bunch of others who didn’t go all out to support his bid to overturn the election today in Congress. These are the Republicans who have the best hope of winning in November 2022, assuming they can get past the primary.

Question:

Are you on board with this? Or do you think it would be better if Republicans ignore Trump’s leadership and continue to support these Republican candidates.

You know what I think would be smart? Try to “primary out” those Republicans who supported Trump’s attempt to steal the election. Like Senator Ted Cruz. If not, they will face in November the wrath of the same sort of Republican voters who doomed Perdue and Loeffler last night. It’s the best path of regaining the Senate as quickly as possible.

George W. Bush says he will attend Biden's inauguration as Trump considers plan for a rival attention-grabbing event.

I voted for George W. Bush in 2004, despite thinking he made a very bad mistake in going to war with Iraq (but not with Afghanistan). But I applaud this announcement today.

Perfect timing. Should take some of the wind out of the sails of those who want to try to overturn the election in Congress today. But, it’s too late. They already committed themselves. They’ll just have to through with this sorry exercise which I am certain they are already regretting starting last night.

Trump can go ahead and have a counter rally on January 20. He won’t have any Presidents show up in support but he can probably get the Proud Boys.

Rioters assaulting the Capitol Building. Senators and Congressmen forced to exit the Capitol.

There is no more debate. Trump must be charged with treason and sent to many, many years in prison. I have been against sending a President to prison. I didn’t want Nixon, Clinton or Trump (last year) to go to prison. But now I do. He called for this riot. This is an assault on Democracy.

Maximum force must be used of the rioters. Shoot them until the survivors are driven from the Capitol and keep on fleeing. No rioter found within the Capitol must be allowed to live. Now. Where is the National Guard?

The Joint Chiefs of Staff must order the arrest of President Trump and have Vice President Pence take over as acting President, immediately.

Hey Richard, this is your right wing mob incited by Benedict Donal.d  turning America into a banana republic third world country. Congress needs to immediately impeach and remove Benedict Donal.d from office.

"Richard" will defend this too, because his dear leader can do no wrong.
