Poor Old China Joe.  He will have control of the Senate.  There goes his excuse not to get anything done during his administration.  The radicals will be screaming for all manner of socialist programs and Establishment Joe will be sitting on hands waiting for his Wall St. paymasters to tell him what to do.  It should be fun.  I gave China Joe a year before the radicals invoke the 25th Amendment.  But now they will want to do so as quickly as possible to ensure they can act while they have the opportunity.  This couldn't set up any more perfectly for Trump in 2024.  Either China Joe caves to the radicals or he alienates them and gets nothing done.  Kantala "Fee-dom" Harris will get demolished by Trump.

Old Donald is going to prison along with Rudy and his scumbag kids for inciting this right wing coup against our Government.

Oh my God. As a reporter, he had to rush in to report on the mob that menaced his mother-in-law. She would be high on their list, just below Mike Pence. It would be hard to keep one’s professional composure during those circumstances.

I have heard that true rioters, without any press credentials, but who made recordings with their cellphones, are trying to pass themselves off as “reporters”. Maybe they could call themselves “Immersive Historians”, who make and record history at the same time. If only Bonnie and Clyde had thought to take movie films of their actions, we wouldn’t be thinking of them as just bank robbers.

I suppose if one of Nancy Pelosi’s sons was a Capitol Police officer, Allan would have described him as one of the rioters as well.

Indeed... anything to deflect blame onto others....

Another ridiculous conspiracy theory from the people who brought you the "rigged election" nonsense.

Gee, maybe it had something to do with him saying "These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long."

Twitter isn't the government.

Yes, it is.  He was inciting violence and insurrection.

oh, please.   ::)  The guy with the goofy head dress is Jake Angeli, a known QAnon kook, and soon to be federal prisoner.

Yes, all the media outlets carried the video where he told the violent mob how special they are.

I stand corrected.  It was Angeli and the other picture was Vos the reporter that was Nancy Pelosi's son-in-law that was caught on same picture with him and used  for their own devious purposes.   (Correction taken by Iacoletti and Weidmann).    Just because I made that statement believing it to be true at the time,   doesn't mean that I can't be persuaded by reason and logic.    There is a difference between truth and fiction - I have no agenda.   I read about the connections after I posted - I question things, most people don't and people assume that news agencies only report truth!   That is what all news agencies should be doing, but it doesn't seem to happen!

In the case of Trump inciting violence and insurrection, prove it with his statement?   You can't!  That is inference and is propaganda!!    That aligns with what has happened in the last 4 years.   The refusal to accept an election in 2016 leads to intentional division and this was very effectively weaponized in the bi-election in 2018 as Mueller investigated 6 months beyond that.  He was effective in flipping house seats.   This happened and neither MSM or FBI or Justice department were accountable for their illegal actions, leaks and false FISA warrants and really meddling with an election.   Not one person in jail for crimes committed at high levels by politicians like Schiff either.

There should not be a bias in reporting such that you are only allowed to hear one side of the story and not both sides. .   Propaganda - lies versus truth should be disputed and questioned and done equally on both left and right sides and used to be done by media.  Point made, point taken.   I would rather have freedom to form my own opinion, rather than have someone else censoring and make me dig for it.  Censoring the POTUS and making unsubstantiated inferences against him is ridiculous.  That is like JR shooting LHO and being the great patriot.

Example.  If Hunter Biden had a laptop and it contains a pornographic video of him being masturbated by a woman's feet and released - it should not likewise be censored and not newsworthy because it could influence an election.  If it contained emails that were seen in Congress and also in possession at the same time by the FBI, there is a problem.    If there was an email released that said there was "10 for the Big Guy",  it should be just as propagated in news stories as what they did to Trump over the last 4 years.   What gives NYT, Facebook or Twitter or FBI or government officials the right to leak materials anonymously and with bias against Republicans to the media.  That is not playing fair in my opinion and where 1st amendment right of free speech is being negated and replaced by one sided news (called propaganda) and used to steal elections.   What do you think happened in Germany 80 years ago?  They controlled their own media and reported to the people.   Are we not in danger of this today if no one counteracts.  The media was and is to question all corruption without bias and investigate for the people, not for one party alone.

However, can you draw a biased conclusion once more?  When you call people special when they are marching for transparent elections and integrity, you cannot then infer that you have now aided and abetted a "violent mob".   Once they breached the building, he didn't go tell them to lynch anyone and he has been quoted as actually saying:
Quote
"Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!"

That means he was inciting violence?  To me, it looks like a false flag event, people were allowed to breach.   You wouldn't get into a building if you deployed teargas in the areaI guess it is not much different than a passenger jet airplane going beyond an absolute no-fly zone and crashing into the Pentagon in broad daylight with an air force base beside doing nothing after being given adequate warning of twin tower being hit by hijacked planes!   It doesn't make sense unless you are either very stupid and or it is in fact allowed to happen.  What happened after that event?

House Democrats have drafted and released an article of impeachment against Donald Trump, citing him for “incitement of insurrection” with the attack on the U.S. Capitol Building. The article was drafted by Ted Lieu and David Cicilline.

Cicilline appeared on CNN and revealed that the article of impeachment will be voted on as soon as Monday. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has already threatened to move forward with impeachment if Mike Pence doesn’t invoke the 25th Amendment. I presume that this now means Pence has until Monday to get his act together and make the 25th Amendment happen, or else impeachment will happen.

In the case of Trump inciting violence and insurrection, prove it with his statement?

"Our media is not free. It’s not fair. It suppresses thought. It suppresses speech, and it’s become the enemy of the people. It’s become the enemy of the people. It’s the biggest problem we have in this country. No third world countries would even attempt to do what we caught them doing and you’ll hear about that in just a few minutes. Republicans are constantly fighting like a boxer with his hands tied behind his back. It’s like a boxer, and we want to be so nice. We want to be so respectful of everybody, including bad people. We’re going to have to fight much harder and Mike Pence is going to have to come through for us. If he doesn’t, that will be a sad day for our country because you’re sworn to uphold our constitution. Now it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy. After this, we’re going to walk down and I’ll be there with you. We’re going to walk down. We’re going to walk down any one you want, but I think right here. We’re going walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women. We’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong."

What "crime" did Schiff commit?

What the hell would that have to do with an election?  That's just your prurient interest.

If it was legitimate, they would have let other news organizations examine the alleged hard drive copied from the alleged laptop.

Speaking of propaganda -- no election has been "stolen".  This is the kind of rhetoric that incited the mob on Wednesday.

I presume that this now means Pence has until Monday to get his act together and make the 25th Amendment happen, or else impeachment will happen.

I hope he does. But Mike Pence has shown himself to be a man of courage and integrity. I have some pretty strong beefs with the Republican Party right now, and certain Senators and too many House members to shake a stick at. But whoever advised making Mike Pence the running mate of Donald Trump did a service to this country. Imagine if it was Ted Cruz. It would have turned the ceremony into a fiasco.

“The vote on the objection was 7 for and 93 against. But using my prerogative as the President of the Senate, I will pocket the certificate from the state of Arizona”.

Biden would still be President, but man.

If Mike Pence decides not to invoke the 25th Amendment, I will respect his decision and hope he made the right choice. I heard a suggestion that Trump could take a two-week vacation in Florida, leaving his Chief of Staff in charge, without a formal removal from office. I would prefer Pence to be left in charge, but I guess I can accept the Chief of Staff, whoever that might be.

In the meantime, as Nancy Pelosi goes for impeachment, I will respect her decision and hope for her success. The Republicans better not let me down on this. Not even on dragging their heels. They need to make up for recent sins. If they can’t declare the elections were valid and the fraud claims were bogus, they better partially make up for it in some other way. My only regret is that I only have one life to leave the party.

Today, within two miles of where I live, there are two houses with American flags and Trump flags. They flew both after the November elections. They flew both after all the Electoral votes were recorded at the State Capitals. They flew both after all the states sent in their Electoral certificates to Congress. They flew both flew yesterday after the Capitol riot and Congress formally accepting the Biden victory. And they both continue to fly today after the death of the Capitol Police officer.

So today, I walk by the second house with a tall flagpole flying both flags as it always does and ignored it. And continued on to the house next door which just has a more modest American flag on a regular staff. And stopped, put down by bag, took off my hat, placed it over my heart, faced the more modest flag and recited out loud the Pledge of Allegiance. Within view of both houses. I think I have recited the pledge a few times over the years but it’s been over forty years since I did that as a regular basis in high school. And I will continue to do that each time I walk by until that Trump flag goes down on their neighbor’s yard.

Trump is the one trying to control the media.

Which is why he calls the mainstream media "fake news" and the "enemy of the people" encouraging his scumbag anti American seditious cult members to beat up journalists and reporters. His whole goal was what Hitler did, attack the free press to make them irrelevant and not to be trusted so only his propaganda can be spewed by his right wing outlets.
