Well unless your son in law is christened Paddy then you should not call it to him,, the British used this term to call all Irishmen who they worked with, because they were unable to pronounce most Irish names so they used Paddy as a term to name them all.

My statistics are based on users on this forum, so far from what I can see, nearly all Lners have W.A.S.P names at least, and no I am not talking through my butt, you guys should not try dish out remarks to people if you can't take a few hits back. We reap what we sow.

Paddy = Patrick and because so many Irish people had this name the brits on building sites etc choose to label all Irish as Paddy's or Paddies which ever way you wish to spell it,,,, It is offensive to be called Paddy if you are Mick or John David or Richard, this labelling is on par with how the gooks in Vietnam were named and Negros etc.

I agree that it doesn't matter, but where did you get the idea that these guys are/were Protestants (or even Anglo-Saxon for that matter)?  Posner and Bugliosi were raised Catholic and Specter was a Jew.
