Former President John F. Kennedy has died aged 87

As most of you may be aware, news is coming through that former President John F. Kennedy has died aged 87. Kennedy was president in the early 60's from 1961 to 1963. He is probably most remembered for the cuban missile crisis of Oct 1962 when he successfully negotiated with the soviets to avoid a nuclear war. He leaves behind a daughter Caroline and several grandchildren.

It makes you wonder why we care so much when young people have no idea who Kennedy was.

Those who are not interested in history are condemned to repeat it. Unfortunately, that's the way of the world and probably why mankind will ultimately destroy itself.

I don't believe for one second that the remaining files will expose what really happened. It is a sad thing to find that the majority of the population have no idea about their own history, but it is exactly that kind of ignorance that will allow populists like Trump to get support. Even with all modern communication available to use it scares the spombleprofglidnoctobuns out of me that there are still people who believe the earth is flat.

For over 75 years the U. S. government kept secrets about the Civil War. But when the secrets were finally too old to cause anyone any harm, they were released. They contained information the KKK would have liked to have had. Names of people who spied on Confederate troop movement for the U. S. government. But nothing about a government conspiracy to assassination President Lincoln. And yet, millions of Americans assumed there likely was a government conspiracy to kill President Lincoln. Why else would they withhold those secrets?
