I enjoy reading WWII history snippets as my dad was serving overseas then, but I have never heard of this incident.  I can’t imagine what it would have been like had Churchill been assassinated over here.

How times have changed, last night for serving food, I tipped the waitress in a small restaurant more than the weekly bonus the agent got for saving Churchill’s life.
