The plan to assassinate JFK was certainly not foiled, nor was the plan to use the CIA to take control of the United States government.
KGB officers inside the CIA began handling CIA officers targeted for political office in the 1950s. Over the years, some of the most powerful Members of Congress were KGB-controlled CIA officers. They ranged across the political spectrum from the far left to the far right as the KGB played both ends against the middle.
After the KGB was exposed in 1984, renegade CIA officers, including those who were Members of Congress in violation of the Constitution, took up the mantle and began their own quest to control the government.
