Now wait for Richard to reply saying you are wrong, because you did try to blame Trump anyway..... It's the way his mind is wired.

Yep, that's what Richard will do even though I posted a link not blaming anybody.

Criminal Donald boasted he would release the JFK Files and then in January said the files can't be released for 3 years. That means President Biden can't release them as well. Quit being biased and blaming President Biden as usual.

Again, this statement a demonstrable lie which you have now repeated.  You either have absolutely no idea what you are talking about or you are intentionally lying due to your uncontrollable Trump obsession.  You have posted thousands of anti-Trump posts on this board.  Here, you have interjected a false reference to Trump in this context indicating that he is to blame for Biden not releasing these JFK files.

Since you dispute that for some unknown reason, let's look at your exact words to see if you are "blaming Trump" or not.  Ready?

"... in January [Trump] said the files can't be released for 3 years. President Biden can't release them as well."

This explicitly claims that in January that President Trump prohibited the release of these files for three years and therefore Biden "can't release them."  There is no ambiguity on this claim.  It is, however, demonstrably false.  Trump established a timeline for release of these files in an executive memo on Oct. 26, 2017.  Pursuant to that timeline, Biden had to decide by Oct. 26, 2021 whether to release the files.  Biden had complete discretion and authority over that decision to allow the files to be released.  Trump's 2017 memo in no way precluded him from doing so.  In fact, it enabled Biden to release these files.  You have posted a complete and total lie in violation of forum rules.  This has now been pointed out to you.  Absent a retraction of your false statement here, you should be suspended from this forum again for intentionally spreading false information.

Sorry Richard, you are making things up again with your conspiracy theories and accusing me of being a "liar" which is against forum rules. You are also accusing me of saying things I've never said. I have never blamed anybody for not releasing the JFK Files.

Criminal Donald boasted that he was going to release the JFK Files and then said he couldn't for security reasons. He said in January 2021 that the files can't be released for at least another 3 years. President Biden has said the same so he is also unable to release them.

Richard Smith is using projection and is pathetically trying to blame President Biden. Absolutely ridiculous.

Here is the actual background.  You now have an opportunity to retract your repeated lies on this issue.

"Later this year President Joe Biden will face a decision about the disposition of the last of the U.S. government’s still-secret records related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.  With an April 26 deadline looming, federal agencies must inform the National Archives later this month about their plans to release the historic documents or continue withholding them. The Archivist is scheduled to make a recommendation by September 26 about the disposition of the records. The president must then decide by October 26 whether to accept or modify the Archivist’s recommendations.

Some 15,834 assassination-related documents remain partially or wholly classified, according to the National Archives. Most of these records were generated by the CIA and FBI. They include contemporaneous reports related to  the murder of the 35th president in Dallas on November 22, 1963, files of CIA officers who knew about accused assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, and interviews conducted by congressional investigators in the 1970s.

The legal timetable was established by an executive memo issued by President Donald Trump on October 26, 2017..”

So desperate....

This explicitly claims that in January that President Trump prohibited the release of these files for three years and therefore Biden "can't release them."  There is no ambiguity on this claim.

BS.. you inserted the word "therefore", not Rick. You are giving your incorrect interpretation and are trying to put words in Rick's mouth that he never said.

You could just as easily insert the word "but" instead of "therefore" and you get a completely different meaning. The fact of the matter is that Rick inserted neither of those words and you are simply pushing your own false narrative, like you always do.

And Biden decided not to...... So, how in the world is that "blaming Trump"?

This is real simple Roger.  We are discussing a demonstrable fact established pursuant to a legal process.  Rick has repeatedly claimed that in January '21 Trump precluded Biden from releasing these files for three years.  Is it true or false that Biden "can't release" the files due to something that Trump did in January?  Is Biden "unable" to release the files due to some action that Trump took or not?  I posted the actual facts.  In 2017 (not 2021) Trump delayed the release of these files.  That necessitated a decision by the President (Biden) by Oct. 26, 2021 (today) as to whether to release the files.  Biden had the complete authority to do so.   He decided not to release the files.  Nothing Trump did rendered him "unable" to do so as Rick has now falsely claimed several times.

Rick has repeatedly claimed that in January '21 Trump precluded Biden from releasing these files for three years.

Where did he actually claim that? Show us the links to those postings....

It seems to me you are doing what you always do; making up a strawman and then attack it.

Biden had the complete authority to do so.   He decided not to release the files.  Nothing Trump did rendered him "unable" to do so as Rick has now falsely claimed several times.

So far, all we have is your erroneous interpretation of what Rick is supposed to have claimed. Isn't it about time that you learn that your interpretation is not fact and is meaningless when the person himself tells you he has never made such a claim?

You are fighting against windmills.

 :D :D :D

So pathetic. I never blamed Trump for not releasing the files. But carry on with your ridiculous conspiracy theory.

Again, it's not false. Criminal Donald boasted that he was going to release the JFK Files. Then he admitted in January that because of security reasons the files can't be released for at least 3 years. President Biden is unable to release them as well. I'm blaming nobody and you are breaking forum rules by calling me a liar.

Can you even read? So pathetic how you cover for Criminal Donald. He is telling you he can't release the JFK Files. I expect you to retract your slanderous comment calling me a liar as I have blamed nobody and only published a fact.

Trump boasted he’d open all JFK files, but now says he can’t

WASHINGTON (AP) ” President Donald Trump boasted last fall that he would open all remaining John F. Kennedy assassination records. So far, Trump hasn’t made good on the “great transparency” he promised then.

Trump announced on Thursday that the public must wait another three years or more before seeing material that must remain classified for national security reasons ” more than five decades after Kennedy was killed Nov. 23, 1963 in Dallas, Texas.

The National Archives released its last batch of more than 19,000 records on Thursday. But an undisclosed amount of material remains under wraps because Trump said the potential harm to U.S. national security, law enforcement or foreign affairs is “of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in immediate disclosure.”
