COVID is a highly contagious novel virus. Everyone was going to get it sooner or later. It posed a serious risk to the elderly and those with existing health conditions. Healthy people were just going to be sick for a few days. The masks, social distancing, and lockdown was ineffective and harmful. It was all political. The only thing that worked was the vaccine and that was developed in record speed thanks to Trump.
