You guys are merely yammering to each other. This is what being inside the Echo Chamber renders. Nothing! All you are doing is repeating the same exact Pablum back and forth. STOP using the generic term "immigrant" and be specific. Use of the term ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT is specific and will result in meaningful discourse. Put down that Blanky you clutch and take a seat at the adult table.

Fair enough, but would this not be fundamentally true about virtually every thread here and on every JFKA forum ... and every religion forum ... and pretty much every internet forum? "Yammering Echo Chamber" (YES -  get it?) describes the reality nicely.

Oops, my CIA handlers just pointed out that Yammering Echo Chamber would be YEC, not YES. My bad. They are sending me for Remedial Cryptogram Training.

Would you prefer that he deport all immigrants?

I should clarify my comments. I believe Democrats make arguments that are designed to influence people who think like they do. I believe that we should make arguments that may influence some MAGA people. By pointing out the obvious.

So, even if we ignore excellent arguments:
* Many immigrants are legal and should be allowed to stay.
* They greatly help the economy, not just increase the wealth of billionaires but ordinary Americans as will
* MAGA is influenced by racism, they just want as many non whites deported as possible

So let's pretend, for a moment, that mass deportations are good. Even with this assumption, it should be pointed out to MAGA people that Trump is highly unlikely to end up deporting the bulk of the immigrants, legal or illegal. Because their presence and labor helps the billionaires make more money. And they control Trump.

I think your typical MAGA person can see this, but hope against hope, against the all the evidence, notably the leisurely, at best deportation of immigrants, that Trump will do what he promised and what they hope for. The deportation of the bulk of the immigrants. This is a naive hope.

Well the next few days are pretty predictable. Trump will come up to the April 2 tariff date and shortly before or after, a sharp downturn in the Stock Market and people telling him he must not do this, Trump will:

* Cave in, chicken out, once again.off the tariffs.
* But can't admit he made a mistake so he announces that he will put in the tariffs but that they need to be delayed a bit, like to May 1.

And our Stock Market will continue to limp along for another month under a cloud of uncertainty.

Let's see our accurate my prediction will prove to be. This is already been part of a continuing pattern so I am confident Trump will continue to do the same he did last month.

Is this going to continue along for the next three and a half years? Or will Congress start to take action. It only takes a relatively few Republican senators and congressmen to stop this nonsense.

If anyone thinks I am wrong about this, let's hear from you now.

There are: (1) LEGAL Immigrants, and (2) ILLEGAL Immigrants. Trump promised to deport ILLEGAL Immigrants. This is Not difficult to comprehend.

It's amazing to me after the political disaster of the 2024 election that Dems have learned no lesson.  Americans overwhelmingly oppose illegal immigration, men in women's sports, and funding endless wars.  Dems can't evolve, however.  They double down on failed policies.

What's left of the Dem Party? Mean Girls and Wimps like that Minnesota Gov. Even the Fake News'ers are disappearing. Viewership at CNN now under 500,000. Ratings lower than the Food Channel. And Congress will soon cut the Funding of PBS and NPR. The Gravy Train has been derailed.

It is difficult to comprehend. Because Trump says contradictory things. Like people born in the U. S. can be deport, despite the 14th Amendment. So it is not just illegal immigrants that need to be deported but some American citizens as well, so long as they are members of an undesirable race.

Wimps like Governor Tim Walz? Wimps do not rise to rank of command sergeant major and become the senior enlisted soldier of his battalion.

Want a real example of a wimp? How about someone who used "bone spurs" as an excuse to dodge military duty.
