Results are what matter. We are not talking about a friend or family member but the head of the country whose competence has consequences. I'll take a narcissistic "mean" guy who gets results over a senile incompetent any day. It's like having an SOB for a football coach who wins the Super Bowl vs some milk toast who loses every game and sometimes gets lost on the way to the stadium. Imagine in the midst of all the world's unfolding disasters that the Dems are holding endless hearings to tell us that Trump was "angry" on Jan. 6. It's surreal.
A senile incompetent? Oh, you mean that guy who thought he could physically overpower the Secret Service and drive to the Capitol. Well, I don’t know if he was senile, but he did seem to be having a senior moment there. Ah, you mean Biden, don’t you?
Well, you’re wrong. Biden is not a weak president. He is a good president.
But ever if you are right, you are very wrong.
America has elected bad, even weak presidents before, and come through it. We elected Hoover, who instituted government control of the economy, which was continued by Roosevelt. But the public wised up, to a certain extent, and we recovered from it.
We cannot recover from getting a fascist president. Where elections are null and void. Sooner or later, that president, or his successor, or his successor’s successor, is going to go south. And without elections that matter, we are stuck. We are ruined. Just like Hitler’s Germany. Just like Putin’s Russia.
Others have tried going with a permanent leader, who is a strong leader. When has this ever worked? When did this not eventually all go south? I need one example.
