Ah thanks Ray.....I also saw a page that said the fuel capacity could be 45 gallons. Two wing tanks of 17.5 gall and a centre tank of 10 gall. There was also mention of a reserve tank.
What would be the weight of that fuel and four average size passengers, compared to it's 920lbs nett carrying weight?
Thx Colin/Ray
I have not been able to find any examples of Ferries' handwriting. However,There is a much better image of the document here: (at a link)http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/topic/6750-david-ferrie-flight-plan/Researchers will note the strange use of an upper case letter "E" in every instance on the document...except for the letter "e" in the Hidell name.Anyone have any thoughts on this odd switch to a lower case "e"?
Colin, has anyone established where Garrison obtained this copy of a flight plan?Good to establish a chain of custody.Especially the primary source
