Who took this film clip (frame grab below)? Underwood, Cook, Darnell. The frame is consistent with a 16mm camera with 38mm lens. I think I just found Euins waiting for his 3-wheeler ride ;) ;)

I have seen images of Euins riding on the back of the DPD 3-Wheeler as it is in motion traveling down that Elm St Ext toward the TSBD. What we are seeing in the image you posted is probably Euins after he dismounted from the 3-Wheeler.

Don Cook took this film (Cooper film). He did use a 16mm camera. I hope the quality of the original is much better than what we have.

Royell,
The one I suspect is Euins is standing near the large iron gates between the west side of the depository and west warehouse. In the Martin film, we can see Euins on the back of the 3-wheeler as it takes off- with the diamonds of the iron gate behind Euins.

Thank you sir. I wish I had better clips too.

I'm not sure exactly what you are seeing on the Martin Film, but Euins journey aboard the DPD 3-Wheeler BEGAN in the railroad area. He was then transported from the railroad area to the TSBD by traveling down the Elm St Extension. At some point after dismounting the 3-Wheeler, Euins was then seated inside a police vehicle parked at the curb in front of the TSBD. Charles Brehm and his young son were also seated inside this same vehicle. To my knowledge, at no time did Euins DEPART the TSBD while riding on the back of a DPD 3-Wheeler.

When you said, "diamonds of the iron gate BEHIND Euins", I misunderstood what you meant. Thanks for posting that clip.

I?m happy to finally know where this clip was filmed. Thanks.

James,
can you tell how busy/quite the TSBD entrance is in that by stabilizing it? TIA.

Hi Barry,
The John Martin film of Euins on Harkness' 3-wheeler was filmed at an acute angle to the doorway, and the film only has one frame that we can believe are the doorway columns from nearly edge on. No view into the doorway was possible. A few later frames show that area but are too motion blurred for analysis.

I stabilized the frames following the Reply#8 clip above while crusing toward the doorway. We can make out some pedestrians on the south side of the extension, and probably some moving in the direction of doorway in the background. There is one car in the intersection moving, maybe, in the direction of the door. Martin used a telephoto lens for the 3-wheeler ride so that judging distances in the background is not easy (e.g. Altgens6).

Hope that helps.

Euins did not have the camera he told HSCA investigators he had. 😁

Euins gave that camera story when he was talking with HSCA Investigators in the latter "70's". This would have made Euin's a 20 Something at that time. Why someone that age might fabricate something like the camera story is puzzling. If Euins was making stuff up when he was in his 20's, this same credibility issue also impacts his WC Testimony.

Here is Amos in Hughes' first Rail/Parking area segment. He seems to be pointing to something. This really needs to be seen in animation to appreciate his actions, but not tonight.

I think this is him James.

Also, he and his vanishing friend are in one of Cook carparks scenes and that might be the same boy in Hughes there, appearing just ahead of him through the crowd.

Is your white arrow pointing to whom you think could be Euins, or his disappearing friend, that Sorrels thought it not worth locating him because he probably did not see anything anyway.. or something like that. The boy indicated by the white arrow is wearing glasses. I'm not even sure now the boy on the right is holding a cap or even wearing a jacket. :-X

Harder than we thought eh? Yes, clearly wearing glasses, nice clean clip ty.
I'll point to my suspect in Cook if I come across it again.

I know exactly who you are describing in the Cook film. His scene deserves its own gif some time.

So much clearer. I realize for the first time that Underwood is holding a cigarette.

Look at all the attention the building is getting after Jimmy pointed his camera at it. Hmm... After a meet with Bob. Hmm... But where is Jimmy going? Did he not hear about the gun? Hmm... What did Haygood say? "His best guess is it came from that building". Ahh.
Underwood was at that same meet but needed a kid to get him a just a little more excited about the building than he is in that Hughes clip.
-
Darnell and his distinct hopping.

We continue seeing images which do Not reflect what we believe was going on/suspected at that point in time. More times than not the obvious answer is Incorrect Time Stamping of an image.

Darnell and his distinct hopping.
Just my guess but I believe that hippity-hop is connected to mud/puddles back in the Rail Road area.

That attention to Darnell/Cook filming the westside of the TSBD by Robert Hughes includes Hughes himself. The first thing Hughes films after leaving the east shelter via the sidewalk to the live oak tree is to find a break in the tree foliage and film the SW corner from top down, barely including an open 5th floor window on the west side.
Sidebar – does anyone know the wording on that sign in the parking area just west of the carport?
