Who Gerda was in reality, is anybody's guess, Louis.

When I clicked on the link accompanying your post, Duncan, it set off my virus/malware program.   :(
I know you would never intentionally post a bad link, so just wanted to let you know what happened.

Thanks Steve,  Thumb1:

I've checked the Link and it's destination, and all of the Gallery files, and there is no Virus or Spyware.

The Link goes directly to the Gallery Image.

Must be some kind of glitch with your Malware Program maybe?

For those of you wanting to see an exceptionally Clear version of the above Darnell Film, here it is.
"NBC 5 Archive Collection | Assassination Aftermath in Dealey Plaza | Darnell Film". It is supplied by Sixth Floor Museum and runs 0:44 total. This is so clear that every time you watch it, you notice something new.

Is that Officer Baker running into the TSBD at the beginning?

If so, Oswald is still in the building and if Darnell hadn't been distracted by commotion at the GK, and with a bit of good fortune, could have captured LHO leaving on film.

Your assumption being that Oswald exited the TSBD via the front door. Nobody knows with certainty exactly how Oswald exited the TSBD.  Buell Frazier has now claimed that he saw Oswald walking alongside the TSBD on Houston St. This positioning of Oswald would indicate that he probably exited the TSBD via the Houston St Dock. This is the same Dock that Oswald and Frazier used to enter the TSBD when they reported for work that morning.
The TSBD building, the area immediately around it, and Dealey Plaza on the whole, have been altered in many, many ways over the years. The TSBD and the area surrounding it does NOT come close to appearing as it did on 11/22/63. The TSBD Houston St Dock is completely GONE. If you go to Dealey Plaza to survey the 11/22/63 JFK murder scene, bear in mind that you are NOT seeing anything close to the actual murder scene. Arriving at any conclusion(s) based on what you see there today is a journey down a rabbit hole. You MUST do serious research in order to Know how Dealey Plaza, the TSBD, and the area around the TSBD looked on 11/22/63.

Yes, we don't know with 100% certainty. Buell Frazier initially testified he did not see LHO after the shooting but changed this story decades later. The contemporaneous testimony would logically seem to be more trustworthy.

At least one witness, a reporter, testified to asking someone he later recognised as Oswald, for directions to a phone at the front lobby.

I don't remember details, but I once read that there was staff working at the loading bay at the time who would have seen LHO but didn't report seeing anyone. Can't find the source, so not sure of the veracity of that.

There's much most people do Not know about the TSBD and the surrounding area on 11/22/63. It currently looks nothing like it did that day. For starters, the TSBD had 2 DOCKS. The TSBD "floor plans" included in the Warren Report do Not reveal this. Dedicated research is required to appreciate the layout of this entire area back then. This includes the train yard. The images of that train yard on 11/22/63 are few and far between. I continue wondering exactly what a string of Passenger Train Cars were doing just parked behind The Pergola. No engine was attached to pull/move this string of Passenger Train Cars. They were just sitting there. All around this general area are Box Cars, but NO Other passenger train cars. They stick out like a sore thumb. And the Darnell/Martin films only captured 1 Side of these passenger train cars. At the time of the assassination and shortly thereafter, what was on the other side of these TALL passenger train cars? Knowing what the TSBD Area and the train yard surrounding it looked like requires research. Big Time Research. These areas look Nothing like they did on 11/22/63. Not even close.
