Pete Rose and Barry Bonds Hall of Fame?

As you look at the two most prestigious achievements in Major League Baseball, the top two leaders leading the pack in their respective categories may never get in The Hall of Fame.

Those two men would be Pete Rose as the "All Time Hits Leader" and Barry Bonds as the "All Time Home Run King".

Both men have damaged their reputation by committing different violations that has kept them from being inducted into Cooperstown.

Both their records will not be beaten for a long time or if ever.

Looking at the lists of future potential inductees, it's pretty mediocre players possibly being considered to be enshrined and the Hall should only be reserved for the best.

With that, if you are going to induct mediocrity, you should also have the best as the top all time leaders in the game. If both Rose and Bonds will be inducted at some point in the future, it makes perfect sense to do it while both men are still alive to accept the honor.

So, would you keep both men out for life? Choose a steroid user over a gambler? Allow both men in for their talent rather than their past transgressions?

Bonds wouldn't have caught Hank Aaron's HR record without cheating
Hey, let's reward cheaters.. what an example for kids!

Pete Rose deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Period. Baseball has always held itself up as this hallowed institution. It's just a game - just entertainment. And with all of the recent revelations that Houston cheated and no one has been punished, it's time to let Rose in. Rose grinded it out year after year, always played hard, always hustling.

Bonds not so much. Yes, he was very talented but he went from a skinny rail in the early 90's to a hulked up 'roider.

If Pete Rose ever bet on his team to lose in games in which he was playing or managing then he should not be in the hall of fame.

Barry Bonds was talented enough to make the hall without drugs

I'm still bummed that Gil Hodge [sic] missed getting in by one vote.
