Congrats to Old Joe.  He is going to squeak it out.  As I said before, he is an establishment politician who has done nothing during his entire career.  I expect more of the same but unlike the rage filled Trump haters, I hope Old Joe does a great job for America.  Good luck to him.  And Trump 2024!
But which Trump? :)

93,000 new cases today.
Mr Crow, a real and respected scientist, can tell us how bad things are in the U.S..
First wave.
 Second wave.
Mr Crow : (actually Dr. Crow, we should be thankful for his insights   ) has explained how bad the U.S. is. Aussie have it under control.
Dr Crow: U.S. is looking at 400K deaths by 1/21 2021.

Hi John,

It appears that the case numbers will likely get to 150.000 per day relatively soon. A rate of roughly 1 million per week. Without further mitigation measures to slow infection rates it might mean another 7 million infected by Christmas. You will not have a new President until Jan 20 no matter what the outcome, and a Biden Presidency with hostile Senate is not an ideal environment for rapid change even if one can be designed.

It seems death rates have slowed but even at the current rate another 60,000 deaths by the end of the year is likely. The number of states with infection rates higher than 5% is alarming. It illustrates that you have widespread community infection in most (if no all) of them. Hospital ICU occupancy rates will quickly become a serious issue. I have seen some reports from hospitals already at 90% capacity.

I fear that until an effective vaccine is available the US will continue to experience significant issues. Are you able to undertake the type of lockdown the UK is proposing? I suspect not.

Funny story about Trump. Back in '16, he was in a Midwestern town saying he's going to make sure that one of the major bridges in that town - which has been crumbling for years - was going to be fixed if he was elected. Fast forward to '20. One of my relatives went to one of his shows in that same town. I asked her on FB how's the repairs going on that bridge Trump promised to have fixed four years earlier? She then changed the subject and said Obama started ISIS.

That, my friends, is the state of this country today. It isn't about governing anymore. It's all about hate and ignorance and nothing to do about doing what's right for the common good.

If you think Trump "cares" about you, he doesn't. But for those who think so, just go right on believing.

Agreed+
