Uh, that's how it works.  The president gets to appoint justices to fill vacancies.  Obviously, they appoint people who are consistent with their policies.  How exactly is court packing going to "restore a fair balance"?  If Old Joe did that, where would it end?  The next Repub president would just expand the court further and the cycle would be repeated endlessly.  It is stupidity to suggest.  Old Joe is an establishment guy.  He is not going to pack the court.  He is smart enough to understand that won't work and he is nearly 80 with two brain operations.  What is your excuse?

The president gets to appoint justices to fill vacancies.

Sure, except of course when his name is Obama.

Obviously, they appoint people who are consistent with their policies.

Yes, but once appointed they have to apply the law and not impliment policies. Chief Justice Roberts understood that.

Except when a Democrat is President and the right wing Senate illegally blocks the nomination and vote from happening. But during an election, the corrupt GOP rams through a far right wing extremist unqualified judge going against their original bogus argument for why a judge can't be confirmed.

That's ok, Joe Biden will expand the Supreme Court and the Democratic Senate will investigate Kavanaugh who perjured himself and will have him impeached.

Donald Trump is nearly 75 with dementia.

You watch those nature documentaries on the cable? You see the one about liars? You got this liar. He’s the king of the liars. Huge mane up on top. He’s sitting by a desk, in the middle of the White House. He’s so big, He’s so hot. The desk is so small. He doesn’t want to move. He’s trying to find a desk that won’t allow him to move. Now the little liars come, they start messing with him. Biting his tail, biting his ears. He doesn’t do anything. This female liar, she starts messing with him. Coming over, making trouble. Still nothing. Now the other animals, they notice this. They start to move in. The jackals; hyenas. They’re barking at him, laughing at him. They nip his toes, and eat the food that’s in his domain. They do this, then they get closer and closer, bolder and bolder. Till one day, that liar gets up and tears the spombleprofglidnoctobuns out of everybody. Runs like the wind, eats everything in his path. Cause every once in a while, the liar has to show the jackals, who he is.

The right wing GOP voter fraud farce still continues as the sore losers refuse to admit they lost badly to Joe Biden. Donald Trump was too cheap to pay the $7 million to recount the entire state of Wisconsin so instead he only put up $3 million to count Democratic counties that's highly African American which is racist in itself. After all the whining and complaining, Biden netted 132 MORE votes and not a single piece of evidence indicated any voter irregularities. Donald Trump's Three Stooges legal team got admonished in court by a Trump appointed Judge in Pennsylvania because of bogus claims of imaginary voter fraud. These clowns continue to humilate themselves and destroy our democracy.

If I was from Georgia

If I was from Georgia, I would send an email to the two Republican candidates for the Senate. I would say that I am very unhappy that Donald Trump is trying to use state legislatures to overturn the popular vote. So, while I would prefer that the Senate not go to the Democrats, I will be compelled to vote for the Democratic candidates unless one of two things happen:

1.   Donald Trump drops his attempts to get the state legislatures to flip a few states. He can continue to try to win in the courts, but this unsavory business of trying to influence state legislatures has got to stop.
Or:
2.   Top Republican leaders in the U. S. Senate and Congress state that they will not select a slate chosen by the legislatures over that selected by the voters.

I generally support Republicans (except Trump) but it is time for the Republican leadership to step up and risk the wrath of Trump to put an end of this nonsense. They have 5 days to act. It is no go to stand by and hope Trump fails in his attempt. If they don’t send a strong message in support of Democracy, I will send them a strong message.

Any Georgian’s here?

We all know how Joe Biden won the election from his basement! He defied all odds and won.   If you have a mail-in ballot system it better be like Oregon (so said Obama) where the signatures are on record and can be compared to those sending in the votes to prove validity.   It seems that was the difference.  Paper ballots are the only way to avoid VLT fraud and make elections valid on election day.
