I feel fine. You are hysterical. You watch too much TV. I just looked outside and it's beautiful. I'm in Portland

Volunteering to protect a statue of a Nazi in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and now in Portland...

You wouldn't be one of Trump's SS like Stormtroopers, would you now?

More hysteria

When will you call the virus racist?

You keep trying to divide people but your subnarratives fail.

You must be frustrated.

You seem to have a reading comprehension problem or to be completely ignorant of the fact that a Nazi is buried underneath the statue that he build.

And then you use the word "hysteria".... Go figure

...The coronavirus pandemic has spawned a whole new genre of Trump’s falsehoods. The category in just a few months has reached nearly 1,000 claims, more than his tax claims combined. Trump’s false or misleading claims about the impeachment investigation — and the events surrounding it — contributed almost 1,200 entries to the database....

(Insert name of Trump apologist), would it actually hurt you in any way, if you were to pursue a timely, mental and emotional health evaluation? If you are concerned about your medical record, pay in cash and arrange for confidentiality with the health care provider you select to perform the evaluation.

You are motivated to post what you've been posting, in defense of Trump, from very narrow influences. White grievance, AKA racism, or an attraction to the authoritarian. If you disagree, post links to a psychiatrist or psychologist who refutes the professional opinions of Mary Trump, PhD, or of Dr. Bandy X. Lee, M.D.!

....As he himself said even before he won the presidential election, “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.” Unfortunately for the American people, this wild-sounding claim appears to be truer than not. It should also motivate us to explore the science underlying such peculiar human behavior, so we can learn from it, and potentially inoculate against it.

In all fairness, we should recognize that lying is sadly not uncommon for politicians on both sides of the political aisle, but the frequency and magnitude of the current president’s lies should have us all wondering why they haven’t destroyed his political career, and instead perhaps strengthened it. Similarly, we should be asking why his inflammatory rhetoric and numerous scandals haven’t sunk him. We are talking about a man who was caught on tape saying, “When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the pussy.” Politically surviving that video is not normal, or anything close to it, and such a revelation would likely have been the end of Barack Obama or George Bush had it surfaced weeks before the election....

Poor Old Joe.  Not a good week.  The economy is booming, the stock market is soaring, and a vaccine is only months away.  Meanwhile every time he opens his mouth it becomes increasingly clear that he has severe dementia.  His handlers are in a panic since his cognitive decline is accelerating at an alarming pace. His racist comments this week were bizarre even by Crazy Joe's low standards.  And just wait until he selects Kamala Harris or "Benghazi" Rice as his VP.  Both are reviled, do nothing establishment figures.  Harris in particular is unpopular with African Americans due to her record as a prosecutor.  She is one of the most disliked figures in DC.  Duplicitous even by DC standards.  It's Joe's election to lose - or so we are told by his advocates in the media.  And he is doing his best.  I honestly think he might not be the candidate in November given his severe mental decline.  No way he serves out his term.  Imagine President Harris or Benghazi Rice?

Benghazi Rice?? Project much, Richard?

It seems fair to observe there is no self-awareness influencing any hesitation to post in defense of Trump. The false equivalence, "whattaboutism" is creepy. For example, both Susan Rice and Hillary Clinton fully cooperated with the partisan political attacks masquerading as legitimate congressional inquiry into the Benghazi controversy. Both testified under oath in front of a hostile, (unhinged) partisan committee majority...

When House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was asked last week if his comments about the Select Committee on Benghazi played into his decision not to seek election as speaker, he replied, "Well, that wasn't helpful."

The Benghazi comments, as the campaign of Hillary Clinton would like to remind you, linked the existence of the Republican-led committee to Clinton's sagging poll numbers. "Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable," McCarthy said to Sean Hannity. "But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping." The implication was that the committee tanked Clinton's numbers and, as Clinton's team would extend the implication, that the committee was designed to do precisely that.

On February 2, 2018, McFarland withdrew her nomination, writing "I have come to this decision reluctantly, because I believe in your mission" in her resignation letter to Trump.[81][82] In response, Trump blamed the Democrats, noting that they "chose to play politics rather than move forward with a qualified nominee for a critically important post" even though Senate Republicans could have approved her nomination unilaterally given their majority, which suggests that some of them may have been hesitant to approve her.[4]

In September 2018 it became known that she had indeed walked back her story to the special prosecutor. The FBI accepted McFarland's contention that she had not misstated factualities intentionally.[83]....

The California Policy Lab has interesting insights into Unemployment Insurance Claims in  California During the COVID-19 Pandemic.
https://www.capolicylab.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/August-6th-Analysis-of-UI-Claims-in-California-During-the-COVID-19-Pandemic.pdf
Key Findings
1. The number of  initial UI claims has increased steadily from May 17th to July 18th, followed by a slight drop in the week of July 25th . In each of the last nine weeks, regular initial UI claims were over two times the peak of weekly initial claims during the Great Recession, yet data from continuing claims indicates a gradual decline in the number of individuals collecting benefits each week.
2. The steady rise in initial claims since May 17th is nearly entirely explained by an increasing number of additional claims—claims which are “reopened” after a claimant’s temporary return to work, implying many workers suffered from repeated layoffs during the crisis. In the week ending July 25th, 57% of regular initial claims were additional claims, compared to just above 40% before the crisis, and 5% during the peak. [Lead Chart]
3. This is the first study publishing the number of unique claimants in the state, instead of tallying all initial claims, which results in substantial double-counting. 6.23 million unique California claimants, or 32% of the California workforce, has filed for UI benefits since the start of the COVID-19 crisis in mid-March. Since many of these 6.23 million workers have filed multiple claims, this total is substantially smaller (24% less) than the 8.18 million initial claims that have been filed in the same period.
4. In the week ending July 11th, 3.46 million claimants, or about 18% of the CA labor force, were eligible to receive unemployment insurance benefits. Unlike more common statistics of weekly UI payment receipt, we are able to count claimants in terms of when they were unemployed, not when they were paid (which is usually several weeks later, and complicated by varying processing lags).
4. Without the $600 per week additional benefits from FPUC, half of all individuals receiving UI benefits would have received payments below the Federal Poverty Level. California claimants have received $35.5 billion in FPUC payments for unemployment experienced between the start of the program and July 11th.
6. In the week ending July 11th , a total of 529 thousand individuals (or 2.7% of the labor force) either received partial UI or were denied benefits because of excess earnings. The share of paid claimants receiving partial benefits has risen substantially since early May, but ticked down during the week ending July 11th. This indicates a substantial fraction of individuals that recently returned to work are working reduced hours and may still be receiving unemployment benefits.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Dr. Anthony Fauci said Friday that he remains confident that a coronavirus vaccine will be ready by early next year, telling lawmakers that a quarter-million Americans already have volunteered to take part in clinical trials.

But if the future looks encouraging, public health alarms are still going off in the present. Officials testifying with Fauci at a contentious House hearing acknowledged that the U.S. remains unable to deliver all COVID-19 test results within two or three days, and they jointly pleaded with Americans to comply with basic precautions such as wearing masks, avoiding crowds, and washing their hands frequently.....

When asked today by a reporter about his “it is what it is” statement about the pandemic and the message it sends to Americans who have lost loved ones, the lunatic in chief responded:

“So the message that I have is very simple. Nobody can do what I’ve done in terms of all of the things that we’re doing to combat this horrible disease that never should have been sent to us, that was sent, it came from China, should never have been allowed to leave China, they could have easily done something, they stopped it from coming into China, but they didn’t stop it from coming into the U.S. and Europe and the rest of the world. And China should have done something about it. And frankly it’s a disgrace that they didn’t”.

An absolute disgrace and embarrassment.

Fred Trump to son Donald, 1972: Cheat. Lie. Steal. But win.

There was a time when a blusterous Trump would pick fights with reporters, but now he can “barely muster the get-up-and-go to turn the page on the briefing notes that he pretty obviously hasn’t looked at before lumbering to the podium,” Karem writes.

What happened? According to Karem, Trump is scared.

“He’s losing. He knows it. And in his mortal terror, the only place where he can still muster bravado is Twitter.”
