Using an URL file as an Avatar

Rick Plant has the coolest Avatar, Home of the Bravest.

I have a question about selecting my own URL as an avatar.

I tried:

From the Home Page Click:     Profile     Modify Profile     Forum Profile
Personalized Picture     * Specify avatar by URL

But this didn’t work for me.

Question:

Can anyone tell me exactly how this is done?

Like by giving the exact format of the     https:// filename     I should use?

Or by providing another method?

Thanks Joe!

This is how I changed mine.

1. First download the pic you want as your avatar.

2. Click the forum profile on your account.

3. Under personalized picture, click the upload an avatar button.

4. Click the choose file button. That will upload your pic.

5. Click change profile at the bottom of the page.

Your avatar should appear once you do all that.
