Greetings all....
New guy here, seeking clarification on a few points I heard while listening to a rebroadcast of continuous live coverage on NBC network radio of the JFK assassionation. I'm not extremely knowledgeable on the subject, so please excuse questions that might be common knowledge among most of you.
1) On two separate occasions, soon after JFK and Connelly arrived at Parkland Hospital, a reporter live at the hospital claimed to have seen a "Negro woman" bring a wounded, bloody youngster into the ER there. He never actually said the child had been struck by bullets from the assassination attempt, but certainly insinuated that was the case. Is there any additional information on this claim? Do we know who the child was (not looking for a name, just whether he was later identified) and what was the cause of his wounds?
2) Over the next 3-4 hours, NBC repeatedly talked about three, separate suspects. Early on, they claimed DPD had foot chased a suspect through a railroad yard immediately after the shootings. This individual got away. Later, they claimed a different individual had been apprehended in Fort Worth after having driven there from Dallas soon after the shooting; no name given. Finally, they explained Lee Oswald had been arrested in a theater, initially for shooting Officer Tippett, but eventually also identified as a suppect in the shooting of JFK and Connelly.
What do we know, if anything, about the other two suspects discussed in the live radio broadcast? Were they later confirmed to have been real, or was this a case of "fog of war" where unverified/incorrect information was broadcast at the time?
Thanks for allowing me to join, and for any information that can be provided.
