The following is the nix film, put it in slow motion and watch the smoke trails from the third window of the pergola and from the immediate right of it.  Ignore the annotations in the film.

Leroy believes that one of these Hit Men stood on the back of another Hit Man in order to elevate himself into a high shooting position inside the Pergola. This is more in line with a 3 Stooges Short than the work of a Professional Hit Squad.

        We know the Size of the wall in front of it. If that is supposed to be a head behind the wall, the Head would have to be Exceptionally Small.
